And all while working in a corporate banking job where I was smashing out 15-hour days just to barely scrape by on an 8-hour pay. The stress, the pressure, the ridiculous sales targets… it all wore me down until I was physically sick. Burnt out.
Then came the big one, thyroid cancer.
And that moment changed everything.
Because that’s when I realised, this isn’t life.
This isn’t living.
This is surviving.
And I didn’t come this far just to live life like that.
So I made a decision. A big one. I was going to figure out how to live life on my terms. Not just for me, but for my family.
I started educating myself. Investing in my own knowledge. I learned how to build wealth, create passive income, and stop being a slave to the paycheck.
Here’s what actually changed my life:
I learned how to manage my money properly. No more panic attacks when the rego came in. I started splitting my income pay to pay so the big bills didn’t knock me off my feet.
I consolidated all my debts. One manageable repayment, less stress, way less interest.
Then I learned how to invest. First in positive cashflow property. That brought in income that didn’t need me clocking in.
Then I got into renovating and flipping, using strategy to build momentum and grow.
It wasn’t overnight. But damn, it was worth it.
Because now?
I get to choose where, when and how I work.
I choose who I work with.
I’ve got time. Flexibility. Peace.
I take my family on holidays without guilt.
I eat out without double checking the bank balance.
That’s rich to me.
Not the designer handbags or $200k cars, I couldn’t care less.
Freedom is my luxury.
Freedom to sleep in. To go for a walk in the middle of the day. To not answer to anyone but myself.
And I want this for others.
I know how many women are in the trenches right now. Working their guts out. Trying to be everything to everyone. Drowning in debt. Stressed out. Sick, tired and stuck.
If that’s you, I get it. I’ve been there. I still carry the scars.
But you don’t have to stay there.
You can build something better.
You can live a life that feels spacious, rich, peaceful, and powerful.
You just need to learn how to make your money work for you, instead of you constantly working for it.
That’s why I share this.
Not to flex. But to show what’s possible when you stop playing the game the hard way and start taking control.
If this story hits close to home, I see you.
And I’m here to help.
Let’s make smart money moves.
Let’s build the life you actually want to wake up to.
